Bridget O’Neill is a speechwriter with five years of experience currently based in Washington, DC.

As the speechwriter for Lonnie Bunch, the Secretary of the Smithsonian, she’s written dozens of speeches for exhibition openings, TV appearances, and commencement ceremonies. Her ghostwritten work has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine and the Washington Post.

Previously, she wrote for the Managing Director of Immigration at Emerson Collective. In his voice, she scripted lectures at Georgetown Law, wrote a series of articles advocating for a path to citizenship, and produced Emerson Collective’s most widely-read newsletter.

She is also a Master of Arts candidate in Nonfiction Writing at Johns Hopkins.
